Happy Father's Day!

One of the things i got for Kendall to make his first official fathers day special was this oil painting of Layla and Aidan in their first weeks. I didn't tell him what i was up to and had him choose a picture over the past 9 months that he liked the best, and he chose this one because they were so "precious" he says. So here is the picture! I also had them write "precious" across it, but it is not in this picture. The orginal picture they painted from was blurry so i think they did an amazing job! :) And now it is hanging above our bed so we can see it and remember the great gifts we have!

Viral Infection

This past week Aidan has been pretty fussy and clingy. I figured he was beginning to teeth(yes i have said that for a long time now). All the symptoms pointed to that, well yesterday afternoon Aidan got a fever of 102. I treated it like a regular fever and watched him closely. But when Aidan woke up in the middle of the night crying and i could not get him to calm down, i knew something was wrong, he is never like this, or ever wakes up in the middle of the night. Took his temperature and it was still over 102! I was getting pretty worried and sat him down to cry and went in the other room to call the Dr. It happened to be one of the two we go to so she knows Aidan. She told me to just keep an eye on him and if it gets over 103 they would like to see him in the clinic. Sure enough, early this afternoon his fever shot up past 103. I packed up my baby boy, found Laurel to watch Laylabear, and took him to the Doctor. The only thing she could come up with is that he has a viral infection, they ruled out a urinary infection since it is rare in circumsized babes, and his ears/throat looked normal. The only way to treat this is not antibiotics but just rotating tylenol and ibuprofen to keep him as comfortable as possible. Poor guy, his temperature was still 103 when Kendall came home tonight. I have never seen him so depressed! He cries and when you hold him he just wimpers, breaths hard, and little tears form in his eyes, add a washcloth on his head and he just is the sadest little boy to look at, breaks my heart! He smiles and laughed at Layla tonight in the tub so that made me feel better since his day has consisted of us trying to get him to eat(not working too well), giving him all kinds of fluids, and sleeping A LOT. If his fever does not go away by Saturday morning we are supposed to take him back to the Doctor. Hopefully it will break tonight!
I think Layla can since he is not feeling good, but doesn't understand, a lot of my time has been treating him today and she has been trying very hard for my attention, by crawling on me, by tugging on me as i rock Aidan or crawling onto my lap with Aidan. She also found two cherrios on the floor and gave one to Aidan, that was very nice of her since she usually takes things from him!

Here is Layla enjoying time with Kendall as he reads a real estate magazine, i guess she is taking interest in his work! Below is Aidan playing with yes a box, notice ALL of the toys around him, and he chooses the box....

June has been an extremely busy time for Kendall and I, with work, school, and now his real estate classes out of town, we are getting pretty tired. I have been kicking it around, and finally decided to drop one of my summer classes, it would be too much with everything we have going on, and i do not think i would be able to keep up with a class that is everday for 8 weeks, plus i am applying for supervisor at my work, so that will take up a lot of my time in the fall and end of summer with training of new employees... Since Kendall is working toward being a Broker in two years, i am not concerned about moving away just yet. Atleast Saturday night we got to relax a bit and headed up to Guernsey, it was good to be up there, since i hadn't been since they drained it last summer. It is always good to be able to hang out with our friends again in a relaxed autmosphere. Kendall left early Sunday morning, and i could only last a little longer with the kids getting tired and cranky, plus cant do much with two babies without lifejackets, ill be sure to get them some in two weeks when i plan on heading to Guernsey again, or Glendo still deciding! It was nice stopping in to see my parents, the kids had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed the rocking chairs, now that i have rearranged their room i can rock them in my rocking chair!! I guess that is all that is happening right now, Gary is back to visit for a couple days so Aidan is crawling around saying "bobbob"(Gary's nickname is billybob). Oh and Layla is pulling herself up on everything, so if they are 10 months today i imagine we might have a walker by 11months! :)

June Snow and Classes

This is our lilac bush in front of our house yesterday, nice snow huh? It was actually pretty against everything being green! Today it will be a lot warmer, its already close to 50! haha. Anyway, My week off of school ends today, Monday i start my research methods class which will last into August, whoohoo. Also Kendall started his class this morning in Cheyenne, he will be driving there most everyday but we have some friends for him to stay with too if it gets to stressful. His class is everyday 830-530 and lasts until the 18th when he takes the test and then....He will be 100% a Realitor, cool huh? He loves his job right now, he is learning so much, and it seems to be all he can talk about. :) I am really proud of him and couldn't be more happy that he is doing something that he has a passion for, he has already pitched some ideas, this his second week, his boss loving it let him do the project...So he worked most this week creating flyers aimed toward parents of students here on purchasing real estate for their kids (a lot of parents do this since the cost of living here is so $$ anyway, and the dorms can be up to around 7000$ in one year, OH MAN!). It's orientation weeks so hopefully the flyers will circulate quickly. So this week will be the kids and me having a grand 'ol time.

Against Kennedy-McCain Bill

While our soldiers are fighting bravely across seas in order to protect our freedoms and secure our safety here at home, political leaders here are lacking to defend the United States Citizen right now. The Kennedy-McCain bill is being proposed, which would allow illegal immigrants amnesty, despite being here illegally, a crime in itself. In other words illegal immigrants are being rewarded for invading our country by jumping the border, and breaking our laws. These “leaders” want to allow these law breakers citizenship, social security benefits, Medicaid, free education, and the list goes on. This is a horrible bill, and is not only a risk to United States citizens freedoms, it is a huge smack in a face for those legal immigrants that are going by the laws and have been on waiting lists with their applications and have paid their fees and worked hard to get to this point by abiding by the laws. Why on earth would we allow for those invading our country and disobeying our laws to be rewarded and given preferences over those immigrants who are here legally? What is this portraying to our children, to our future generations? That it is OK to break laws, OK to commit crimes against our country, not to mention that working hard to pay for education by those who are a citizen and law abiding, but if you break laws, sneak in illegally, you will get free education, medical care, and citizenship, something is seriously wrong here. By allowing our borders to remain open, and giving citizenship to illegal immigrants is setting our country up for an increase in criminals and drugs entering our country freely and leaves us vulnerable to terrorism. This bill is unfair to the United States of American hard working citizens, legal immigrants, and will drain our social services, harming our economy. What I do not understand is why anybody who is supposed to lead our country, insure safety, and freedom allow individuals breaking the laws of our country to not only be free of punishment but be able to be a citizen and bring 5 family members along with them to gain citizenship. Everything our country has fought for, our freedoms, the freedoms our soldiers are fighting right now is meaning nothing if we just allow any person that has snuck into our country disobeying our laws, and now taking our freedoms. The burden here is going to be laid on us, the United States taxpayers, paying for criminals here illegally breaking our laws to become citizens and have the same rights as us, who have earned, lived, and fought for our freedoms, why are we allowing leaders like this to be in office? I have supported Bush up until recently, and now I am just angry, our government is becoming increasingly corrupt and is ignoring the good of our citizens. Please take time to find out what your congressman, senators, and representatives believe. Let them know your view, fight for our rights now and stop this horrible bill from going through, if passed it would be devastating to the United States of American citizens. I am attaching a few links to go to. The first is a petition to sign to let congress understand how we feel about this, it claims you are against this bill and do not support illegal immigrants gaining our freedoms. The second is a list of politicians for each state, with a phone number to contact their office about this issue. It is an easy process, and you can explain your viewpoint and that you either support your politician or do not. In my case Mike Enzi is against this bill, and I am relieved that he is fighting for our rights. Please when it is time to vote again, which is coming up soon, please vote for those politicians that are for the good of the United States citizen, it is getting harder to tell these past elections.

Babes in a bucket

Just some pictures

Since i have a week off of school, i tend to spend all my time with the kids. Not complaining they are fun little babes, yesterday was a LONG day for us with the men redoing our roof, taking their sweet time, they ended up leaving a gaping hole in our roof with a tarp over it when the rain started pouring. Today they are throwing everything in our poor bushes and still havnt started putting on the shingles, unbelievable. Ohwell, yesterday it kept the kids from napping the loud pounding, so with my pounding headache and the kids fussyness, it just wasnt a pleasant time for all three of us. I was able to escape today for a bit to workout early this morning before Kendall went to work, and he is getting off a little early today so we are hoping to escape the loudness of the roofers and head up to vedauwoo to hike a bit. Lets hope. Here are some pictures from the past week.

Here is our living room, haha we just baby gate the entrance to the kitchen and then block between the couches so they are stuck in one area, spread some toys around and they have a blast playing with eachother(their playing is taking eachothers toys back and forth till one gets frustrated and crys for mom to get their toy back)

Here is Aidan playing with puzzle pieces from a Christmas gift he got from Aunt Karen and Uncle Zach, the wood must taste pretty good because they suck on it a little more then other toys haha. Layla being her silly self, this little potato salad bucket we will put on her head and she will leave it there all day if we would let her, so lets see, she will wear a bucket forever but putting on a hat to keep the sun off she throws in a tree on our walk(Kendall had to go find it). I guess ill just have her wear a bucket to keep from the sun haha.

Aidan Crawls!! June 1st!

Aidan has taken less than a week to begin crawling after Layla started! Here is a video i took yesterday, if you notice in the background Layla is watching next to Nikki. The only way he would crawl on camera was if we used the subway coupons on the floor for him to target and go to...haha now we have two rugrats!!

Little Angels and Good Buy!

Today Kendall and i had plans to go to Cheyenne to shop, since he has a new job, and is going to be getting his real estate license in the next month, i felt as a celebration and need thing we better get him some work fitting clothes! Before we left, Em and i went to a few garage sales, and luck was on our side, #1 reason is the lady that usually ALWAYS ends up ahead of me to take ALL of the baby stuff i need was nowhere to be seen(she has done it 2 summers in a row now!), and #2 we happened across a garage sale of a lady that has 3 year old twins, boy and girl, and was selling all of their clothes up to 2 years!!! YAY! We got about $150+ worth of clothes for oooh guess...25$!!!!! Oh man, we just got clothes up to 24months since we cant garage sale in the winter, so the kids have SO many more cute clothes! And they lady is like, heck come back next year we will have plenty more! They are wearing 12 month clothes already, so i don't even bother looking for anything under that.
Anyway, we made it to Cheyenne in time to shop for an hour at Ross before meeting Tracy, a friend of mine who just had her baby (Madison) who is 2 months now. We ate at C.B.Potts, a nice sports bar/sitdown restuarant. Everything went smoothly, which makes me proud since it was the first time the kids had really gone to a store OR a restuarant with us(yes they are sheltered! haha) Anyway, after that we went to the mall browsed and then after the kids crashed in their stroller we decided to head home. They were amazing little Angels the whole day! (thats GREAT for two short attention span 9 month olds!). Now we are home and just waiting till bedtime haha, oooh and guess what? Mr. Aidan has started crawling too!! I will try and get a video of that soon!

Layla Crawls! May 27th!

Ok Lets try this again, i changed the setting so everybody can view it! TryTryAgain:) Let me know if it doesn't work this time.

Here is a video of Layla crawling, i know its not that good of a video but she is napping and this is all i have right now, if you want to see more, then hopefully you can see it in person soon!! :) If you listen closely to the video, ok minus my annoying voice, you can hear a "clicking" that is her new trick, she can "clickclick" her tongue on the top of her mouth, we hear it ALL the time now over the monitor, or she will do it when we do it to her. Real cute. Aidan is still just chill, he is sooo close to crawling i think he just gets frustrated to easily.
