Thursday Thirteen

13 Things i am Thankful for at this very moment:
1. The furnace guys got here within 20 minutes of calling my land lord when i noticed it was 60 degrees in here and -3 outside and the furnace would not turn on.
2. Healthy kids
3. Kendall and my health
4. A wonderful Christmas shared with friends and family
5. Kendall's job, he does an amazing job, works hard, and has a great boss who supports him.
6. Christmas break- I am so sick of school, it is nice to have a month off to spend more time with Layla and Aidan! :)
7. Family and friends, i am always thankful for the amazing support systems and love we have around us!
8. not just one but 2 reliable vehicles, one being 4WD which is GREAT here since there is a half a foot of snow and still snowing.
9. The snow, yes its freezing, but beautiful! Plus we need the moisture its nice to not have to cake the lotion on quite as much!
10. Food, yes it sounds silly, however i am SO thankful that we are able to provide the kids with as much food as they need, as many snacks, and juice to keep them happy.
11. Infomercials: It is just interesting how the kids can be in mid scream/cry and one comes on and their attention is fully concentrated on the TV and the crying stops for 30 seconds. Gives me a quick break from the loudness!
12. Kendall, as always he is such a great guy, boyfriend, father, and best friend. :) Layla and Aidan, they are such great kids, and developing so quick its amazing how smart and SILLY they are!
13. The furnace guys, they got the furnace up and running within 40 minutes of that first call! :) YAY HEAT!

Mr. Teddy Bear

The first night that the kids got this big teddy bear, Layla ran out from being changed for bed and laid down on him with her bottle...guess we aren't needed anymore to hold them while they eat...sigh. :)
This teddy bear is a good backrest/chair for the kids, they are always sitting on him, fighting over him, wrestling him, and dragging him around the living room going "bep"(AKA bear for Layla) and "etty" (AKA teddy for Aidan).

"Yaaa" Wrapping Paper

Layla enjoying opening one of her presents. When she would play with the wrapping paper she would toss it and proudly say "yaaaaa". Very cute.
Aidan enjoying the wrapping paper after all the presents were opened. He would run and jump into the pile of paper over and over.

Today Kendall, Gary, Nikki, the kids and I had our Christmas together since we will all be busy with family and such starting tomorrow. The kids had a good time, we all got REAL nice stuff, i am pretty excited. The kids got more toys, books, and clothes, all very nice :)

This week has been nice being able to be with the kids A LOT more because Layla is starting to make the potty sign a lot more (Aidan is starting to use it too) just so she can go sit on her potty. She is starting to recognize when she is going, now if she and Aidan can recognize BEFORE they are going...haha we will see :) Aidan seems to be picking up words SOO fast, Layla too but i notice it more in him. I counted over 20+ words that he can say, and as long as you repeat a word a few times he is real good in saying it back and knowing what he is talking about. Both kids are picking up sign language still real good, they both learned the sign for "table" just from watching their Baby Einstein videos, i never showed them. Little smarties!

LOST: The Return

Ok, i just watched the longer trailer for Lost Season 4, premiering January 31st...OHMYGOODNESS i cannot wait, it gave me goosebumps. I am REAL excited, i also can't wait till after Christmas to run out and buy the 3rd season...If you are a LOST fan, and want to see what is in store in the longer trailer, go to ABC.com. So many more questions are going to be answered, with a lot more main characters unfortunately dying, that i do not look forward to since i grow to love each character...If you are not a LOST fan i suggest that you catch up if you really want to see an amazing show! :) I love this show.

Where'd December Go?

We love balloons! The kids got these for seeing Santa, well only 2, Nikki brought home extra ones for them...they went crazy. You can see how i tied toys to the bottoms of them, i got tired of having to go grab them and bring them to their reach every five seconds!
Can you believe that Christmas is five days away? Where the heck did my December go? Just seems to be flying by...i guess when a person plays with two 16 month olds everyday you kind of lose track of time completely, i mean they have no concept of it, never to remind me, so why would i think of what day it is when i really have nothing to do outside the house either? It doesn't help that I do not work until classes start again, the joys of a campus job i guess.

Crazy Layla

Ok, those are Layla's tights, pulled up, they were almost up to her neck, and she kept running toward the camera screaming...hehe silly girl!

I went to the Dr. and I now have an inhaler that is supposed to loosen up all of the ucky gunk that has been sitting around in my lungs preventing me from breathing normally, or really at all without coughing...we will see how that goes.

"Ancha" AKA Santa

Today we went to see Santa Clause at Nikki's work. The photographer wasn't a professional but it was free, and we could take our own pictures too. We didn't get one with the kids together since they weren't too enthused with Santa, even though i showed them pictures before and Aidan kept saying "Ancha" meaning Santa, that is until we got there, then they got the most horrified looks on their faces. The only picture that worked was the unexpected family picture we got, so i didn't dress up unfortunately, but hey it is going on our Christmas card since we have failed to take any other pictures and i just realized Christmas is Tuesday! AW! After a wile when we were leaving, Layla would then point at Santa and waved bye, as she clung her little fingers into my shoulder. Silly kids! :)

Here is Layla, she looks SOOO sad, even holding the stuffed moose that Nikki handed her(we forgot Eeyore...oops!) The picture isn't the best since i took it with my camera from a printed photo they gave us..i don't have a scanner at hand but thought i would share this face with everyone!
Aidan wouldn't really look at the camera at all, he wanted to know who the heck this man was holding on to him...Santa was real nice and a sport, and kept coming back to the kids trying to get them to warm up to him.

Still Sick But Still Giving Kisses

Ok, so has most of you know, the kids have been fighting this horrible "cold" with a constant runny nose and it also stuffy so they can't breath well. My brother came up with the term when we were little "stuffed up with runny stuff". Haha. Anyway! WE took them to the Dr. a week and a half ago, the Dr. said oh its a cold their lungs are fine sent us home. Now 18 days later since they got this cold they have not gotten any better and are losing their enormous appetites because they can't breath out of their noses to eat, despite the tons of buggers i have sucked from their noses. So today i decided we better see the Dr. Again, this time it was our first Dr. of choice and he came to the conclusion that they have sinus infections...go figure i said that 2 weeks ago! So they now have a prescription to make them feel better soon! Hopefully VERY soon i am sick of Aidan wiping his boogers on me instead of letting me suck them...I am also having the LOVELY job of watching his poop, he had some lets just say questionable poop that if it happens again i have to put in a bag..and yes you guessed it, bring it in for analysis to make sure he doesn't have an internal infection...Parenting...such an interesting lifestyle that we have for the love of our children!
As for me and my cold, it has all gone to my lungs, and it hurts to breath so i have a Dr.'s appt. on Wednesday morning.

Here is the video that many of you have heard about...so enjoy the sweetness of the "baby kiss" If you notice afterward, Layla follows Aidan smacking her lips for another kiss...when Aidan won't give her a kiss she cries...awww...sweet.

Eat this please!

Tonight I walked in the room where Layla and Aidan were playing to see the cutest thing ever...Aidan was feeding Layla teddy grams, even cuter, he would open his mouth as he reached the teddy gram toward her mouth as to indicate..."hey open your mouth wide so i can feed you." He continued this over and over till she had so many teddy grams in her mouth that she had to start pulling them out. What a sweetheart he is to share his food! :)

The two have been real good about playing with each other more and more lately. Sometimes its nice, other times I start to feel left out! haha.

"How do you do it?"

One of the most common asked questions that i get when it comes to parenting twins and going to school is "How do you do it??" Well, when so many things are demanded from a person, such as kids, entertaining them, homework, and exams, a person adapts. I have learned over the past 16 months to do just that...adapt. I have come up with many little tricks in order to achieve a good study time, and entertain two toddlers. This finals week, it has really helped to have "Baby Einstein" videos. Not that i am one of those parents that lock them in a room and leave, i keep them in the same room as me to play, but with that in the background, instead of looking to me for play, they will turn to that and point, laugh and continue playing...Another is i bring out new items to play with, rotating toys, and books. Occasionally letting them "get" my highlighter when they are being oooh so sneaky, keeps them excited and happy even after i take it away, i think its the whole "Ha i got it for a second!" The occasional person dropping by to say hi is always nice too, that keeps the kids excited to have a new face instead of boring mom's 24/7. So while they get played with, kissed, hugged, and cuddled for a bit i can get in a little more studying. Don't get me wrong, it is hard, hard to concentrate with kids screaming, crying, laughing, and being oh so darn cute! Hard to think, remember where i was, and to even keep all of my papers and pens next to me without little hands wandering off with them before i can react. Without help from friends and family, i am sure Kendall and I go crazy. haha. I try my best to limit studying to nap times, and times where they are being a little more independent in playing together, but when the time comes where i can tell they are getting more needy, and wanting some cuddle time, i put the books down and enjoy some Layla/Aidan time :) This evening, the kids woke up pretty cranky, nothing would stop the tears. If you have been around multiples, i have noticed this and head it from other parents, one crying seems to set off the other one, even if the other one was perfectly happy a minute ago. So i first turned on a Baby Einsteins, oh i got a reaction, they were still crying but watching...i then out of desperation for no cries set Aidan in a laundry basket...crying stops...so i decided, if it worked for him why not Layla? so i set her in their too, it worked. They sat there contently watching the movie, no more tears. Now 15 minutes later, they are out of the basket, the movie is now just a background noise, and they are happily playing together filling the basket with toys. Awww. bliss.

Here is Kendall be handed his Diploma ( the REAL one will actually come in the mail later this month....)
Kendall showing his diploma off proudly:) We had to trek through the snow to walk up to campus..very chilly, but Aidan enjoyed stomping in the snow.
:) happy family....

Week update:

Ok, i know i have been horrible on blogging lately so i will bring everybody up to date as best i can.

The kids and i have had some terrible colds and have been trying to kick those all week. Kendall and I took the kids to the Doctor to make sure it was just a cold and not going into their lungs or anything like that. They are OK. The Dr. did however detect a light murmur in Aidan's heart, which is nothing to worry about right now, it was so light that she said it is something that may just come and go away completely. I google'd heart murmers in young children and sure enough everything i found said this is true, and apparently happens in 50% of children, it is just something we need to keep an eye on, and have checked at each appointment.

The big news in which Kendall has failed to tell really ANYBODY at all, i swear i didn't know until a week ago....he is graduating, yes i knew in December but apparently he is walking...Tomorrow morning. So congrats to him! Really proud of the hard work he has put out :) Plus he looks real handsome in his commencement black robe and hat.

This week is the "dead" week before finals, so we all around here have been busting our butts to get all final projects done, study for finals, and just lose all insanity..haha after next week i will have more time hopefully.

I am getting my wisdom teeth out FOR REAL this time...its already set up, i am just way scared to go under all the way again, i hate being out of control like that! uggg....

It has been snowing all day and i did get a chance to take the kids out to stomp around the yard for about 15 minutes before i decided they were "cold" hehe :) I think it took longer for me to get on their boots, coats, mittens, and hats than the amount of time we were out there...now is that worth it? Sure, they looked ADORABLE, and had a great time just stomping and falling in the snow.

Ok, thats all i can think about right now...So yea, ill work on getting some more blogging.

Aidan Bites Layla

Ok, So some people may think im horrible for putting this on here, others will get a kick out of it. Here is a video about learning...learning to not stick your fingers in other peoples (or toddlers) mouths. Hehe, Layla did this a couple times trying to feed Aidan a cracker with the same reaction, i guess it takes time to learn!

Christmas on Thanksgiving

This weekend we had Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family at my sisters in Colorado. Aidan met a real neat friend "big bear" and was in love instantly...we thought he liked the bear SO much that we bought him one for Christmas, so i can't wait to see his expression when he sees it again.
Layla opening one of her presents. It was nice having a Christmas early with my family, since on actual Christmas everybody else will be doing their own thing with the other sides of their family. The kids got a lot of nice stuff, Thanks everybody!!
Out of all the presents, there is nothing like wrapping paper...Layla and Aidan really enjoyed playing with their cousins Adrianna (2) and Ebony (7). They followed them around in awe, Adrianna got a kitchen in which Aidan and Layla loved playing with and copying her actions in pretend "cooking".
Amber, Greg, and Pa working on last minute food preparations...it was all delicious! We all contributed somehow, Kendall and I made pies...yes from scratch even! haha no Sara Lee this year for us!
Adrianna drawing with Ebony after presents were open. Ebony helped out with the kids a lot, she loves playing with them and has about 10x the energy as any of us adults! Adrianna tended to follow her around, it was kind of cute, having her follow Ebony, and then Layla and Aidan following Adrianna. Guess every kid looks up to their older cousins.

Could We Get Two Bowls of Snow, Please?

Well, Apparently today when Kendall and I were gone the kids ordered just that. Gary had taken them outside to play in the snow and when they came back they were trying to eat the snow from their boots. So not allowing that act, Gary instead scooped up a bowl of snow and brought it inside. Sure enough they ate it all contently. So he got a second bowl...that gone too. Haha how cute! wish i could've been here for the lovely slushy "meal". :)Ok, funny story about THIS picture. I wanted so bad to get these two to HOLD still so i could get a picture of these CUTE matching outfits. Well, i finally got them to hold still, but they would not give up the paci's, and look a bit mad. Right before i snapped the picture Layla jumped off the chair ran over grabbed Eeyore, climbed back up and well, let me take the picture...with annoyed looks in all.

Where's Layla????

Ok So one day, i come out of the bathroom and saw too little feet sticking out of the blanket hanging on the couch. As i walked closer the little lump held still and then let out a little snicker...well, yea you will have to see the little game she started...

Eeyore gets a bath...AGAIN!

Have i mentioned i am never getting my kids flu shots again? ok with that said, they passed their flu to me yesterday, i have never puked so many times in my life in such a short period, think i got to 17? UCK! To top it off, while Kendall was putting the kids to bed, i was laying feeling sick sick sick and i heard the "help" again that i had heard when Aidan first threw-up on Thursday. OH NO! i ran out there, hoping i wouldn't hurl and sure enough ms. Layla had thrown up all over Kendall...again! So far that was the only incident. But now Kendall is feeling sick, he started yesterday and now is feeling worse this morning. i am alright now, my stomach is so empty but i can't eat anything without feeling sick. So i guess it is mommy duty again till Kendall feels better! Now if i could only find time to shower! i STINK!

Eeyore Gets a Bath

Well, to start off this blog entry i would like to make a comment: Never EVER again if i can help it will i get my kids, or suggest to anybody to get a flu shot, despite HOW much the Dr. pushes. And with that here is the reason why: 12 hours, 20 vomits, 20 baths, 8 loads of laundry, 6 clothing changes for Kendall and I, 1 failed psych exam test from no time to study, and 4 hours of interrupted sleep later...that is what happened with the kids' flu shots. They got them on Wednesday right? Well, yesterday afternoon Aidan threw up chunks ALL over Kendall, it was all downhill from there. Layla was so upset with us cleaning up Aidan, crying, screaming, and throwing herself on the floor, not understanding what was going on. If only we knew 3 hours later she too would start and catch up to Aidan's puking record pretty dang quick. We ended up putting the pack in play in our room for Layla, and kept Aidan in his crib. So we had to watch them sleep, they do not know to stay on their side, Aidan at one point woke up choking as he threw up, luckily we were there to sit him up. Now lets make it clear here for those of you who have never experienced a toddler let alone 2 with the flu. They do not know how to warn you, they do not know how to aim in a bucket let alone try, they just puke, right where they are...on you, on the floor, on the couch, in the cribs, on blankets, whatever is the closest surface...the worst was poor Eeyore, it was only a matter of time for him being Layla's best friend. So he got his first bath....finally after almost a year of love, loss of stuffing, ripping, food spillage, drug in the dirt, leaves, you know i really don't really want to know where else he has been. But the good news...Layla still loves him!!! On a more serious note though, this horrible flu really took it out of the two, there was a moment when i was ready to take Layla to the ER, her face was so grey not even pale anymore, her eyes were half shut, she was limp, and couldn't even hold her head up to throw-up. Yes people say "give them something to drink feed them" nope it didn't work, they would not drink refused, they would not eat, i got to the point where i grabbed a syringe to force feed petialite into them, regardless they threw it up 5 minutes later but it brought color and life back. Yes, one crazy, long, sick, sick, sick night for sure!

15 Month Wellness Check

Today was Layla and Aidan's 15month checkup. Everything went well, they are very healthy and are looking great on the curves. Aidan weighed 23 pounds and Layla was just under 22 pounds. They are both at 31 inches, with Aidan a quarter inch taller. Their developmental level is 17-19 months. That is awesome i think! Little smarties, hehe! They can say over 6 words, and can sign more other than those. They got their 2 immunization shots along with a flu shot, which we will have to take them back in a month to get the second one of those. Now to just catch up on their baby books!!

Layla and Aidan coloring their pictures i gave them. They are now hanging on the fridge so i can them off!! :D

"At!! EOW! EOW!!"

Aidan and his new friend, Neitzsche the cat.
This week we went out of town to visit our friends John and Katie. It was a lot fun to hang out with them and be entertained by the kids. Layla and Aidan were obsessed with their cat(Layla especially). They would follow it around the house back and forth until he finally meowed enough to be let outside away from the kids who were pestering him. Layla would run to the door at point saying "tats! tats! eow! eow! aT" (That, That, meow meow Cat). She learned to pet him nicely, Aidan didn't catch on to "nicely" and we would hear a "thud thud" and turn around to him patting the car rather hard. Silly boy. He did take quite the beating to the nose, he ran into the wall pretty hard leaving a red line across it, and apparently Nikki told me tonight that he did the SAME thing to the bedroom door tonight and has a big 'ol bump on his forehead. Guess he doesn't learn! Layla was like that last week with 3 different bruises on her face from falling, clumsy kiddos!

Are you a boy or a girl?

Ok, here is a joke i heard the other day... i will try and tell it as best as i can! It just reminds me of Layla and Aidan chatting in their baby language back and forth from their cribs!

So there were two little babies in their cribs next to each other.
The first little baby looks at the other and says: "Hey! are you a boy or a girl?"
The second little baby says, "well i don't know! what are you?"
The first baby replies "I am a little boy!"
The second baby then proceeds to ask "well, how do you know that?"
The first baby pauses for a minute and then says "ill come show you!" he carefully crawls out of his crib and into the other little babies crib. He then crawls under the second little babies blanket. A little bit later his head pops back out from under the blanket.
"Well?" asks the second baby?
"Your a little girl!!" says the first baby
"Neat!" giggles the second baby. "But how could you tell?"
"Well you have pink socks on and i have blue socks!" said the first little baby.

What's Day Lights Savings???

Ok, all week i have made a mental note to remember day light savings. Obviously i still forgot. That was until we had the kids up, and fed...Kendall looked at the clock and is like "it is only 8?" Say wha?!? oooooh man it is only 8, obviously our clock in our room is still ahead an hour AND Layla and Aidan our little alarm clocks too did not know we were supposed to sleep IN an extra hour. Sigh, oh well i guess that will just make for a LONG day for them!

Pre-Halloween Dressup :)

Aidan the not-so-cowardly lion:) The kids dressed up for Kendall's fraternities annual haunted house. Of course the kids didn't go through when it was real scary, we went during family time. We just wanted to support the cause for the Kids Miracle Network and the SAFE project. Everybody was in costume but instead of scaryness it was more of waving and talking to the kids. haha different but good for Layla and Aidan, they knew a handful of the people putting it on of course so that helped too.
Here is Glenda the good witch from Wizard of Oz. Her little wand lights up and the music "it's a small world" plays. I am thinking about taking them downtown this morning to the trick-or-treat there with all the businesses, only problem is EVERYBODY is busy and i don't want to have to take 2 toddlers which decide to walk opposite directions all the time down there alone. So we will see. Either way they have a big Football game to attend and get all bundled up for. (hopefully it warms up...its only 32 degrees right now...AW!)

More Snow!

Let it Snow!

Aidan enjoyed the snow last night before it started to stick, we took them out and they were memorized at it. Now if we can just get them boots they can go outside and play in the snow!
Here is miss Laylabear running to Nikki while it snowed, she wasn't too sure about it, didn't want to touch it at first!

What is all of this crunchy stuff?

This is the pile of leaves on our patio this afternoon, the wind just blows them over there. The kids played in them for 40 minutes or more. They were having so much fun! You can see Aidan here throwing leaves up in the air.
Layla showing off her leaves that she found. You can see she is very proud and saying something haha. Notice Eeyore is joining in on the fun in the background?
This is when we first went to the park today but found out that it was much to windy so we only stayed for about 5 minutes before heading back.

Ok, i thought i would share this video, it is of Aidan taking a running jump into the leaves. I would build the leaves up high and he would run and dive into them...i use to LOVE doing this as a kid!

Make It STOP!

Ok, this toy has been driving me NUTS since Gary bought it for the kids before they were even born! It plays this song OVER AND OVER, and cannot be shut off, the button is on the front so when it was packed away in a box before the kids were born, every time the box was touched it would rub on that button. Anyway, i thought it was gone, i hid it, packed it away for good! The silence was amazing until today, i was making breakfast and then i heard it, the song...playing...at first i didn't think to much of it until i heard it about a dozen times, i looked in at Layla in the living room, pushing the button OVER and OVER dancing around the room with it. AW! Who found it, Who got it out again??? She has been pushing it no joke for 15 minutes now, a few times Aidan will grab it and play with it too. Oh i am going to go insane today...This video you can see Layla pushes it as Aidan plays nearby. i wish i had a longer video thing on my camera so i could show you all how annoying this is!

Adorable Flower Girls

I took this picture from Keith (Kendall's brother) because i thought it was a great one! This is Kendall's 5 year old niece Ashlyn, she was a flower girl at the wedding and did a great job at it! Layla was trying so hard to fit in with the "big" girls, she would follow them around, and just stand there watching as if she wished she could interact with them, but just didn't know how so instead just watched nearby.
This is Kendall's other niece Emily(3 years old), also a flower girl. Emily seemed to really like Layla following her around, she just didn't understand why Layla wouldn't talk to her, outside of "baby babble" i guess! :) Both sweet girls, i had a lot of fun being able to see them again!

Raindy Weddings and Dancing Aidan

Aidan trying to run out and play in the rain. He was loving it even though it was chilly.
Layla running around after the rain in her pretty new dress and shoes that her daddy bought her.
Family picture, we all are looking! The kids were so worn out at this time, it was well past their bedtime, but they were champs. Aidan was running around dancing on the dancing floor from group to group he was quite the hit, it reminds me of that commercial of the baby dancing at a party in her diaper, he was just like that loving every minute.
The lovely bride and groom taking their dance with Aidan and Layla.

~This weekend was Gina and Geoff's wedding (Kendall's little sister). Despite the pouring rain, the wedding still went on. the kids got to meet a lot of their family on Kendall's side and it was a lot of fun in the end :) We all had a good time and the kids were angels despite not having naps! I wish i would've had more time to take pictures!

New Ride

Well, we finally got another vehicle to drive between the two of us. Not that the Monte wasn't holding up, we just needed another vehicle, one with 4 doors instead of 2, crawling into a backseat with a toddler isn't as fun as people may think! So here is our2003 Nissan Xterra! :)

Baby Talk

Each day the kids surprise me either with a new sound, word, or sign language that they have picked up on. It's getting real exciting. Layla twice today has shown me the "potty" signal i have taught her in sign language when she was wet and later when she had a poop. I ask her if she has a potty and she would do the signal again, oh man i was so happy she is catching on! :) Both kids are good at pointing at what they want, Layla has moved this a step forward with saying "tattat" for "what's that" and also if she wants to go outside she will pat her chest and then point out a certain window or at the front door. They both can say "hi" pretty good, Layla says it the most i would say. Of course they can wave either with just their hand or swinging their whole arm. Both can make a piggy noise and a rooster noise, this is REAL cute! They understand a lot more, when i say time to eat they run to their highchairs, and if i say "night time" they run to their room door. Let's see what else is there, When you call their name Layla will say "yesth" for "yes" and Dear Aidan will say "huh?"...he gets this from Kendall, for when i ask Kendall something he always goes "huh?". The big one came last night...As many of you have seen or heard of, Aidan is famous, him, some friends of ours, and I posed for a UW foundation thing, where our picture is now on envelopes for the Annual Giving, sent to over 40,000 people. ANYWAY i was showing Aidan, and he started to run off with my copy of the picture, i went to grab it and said "Aidan let me have that back please" and then he said it in his tiny little voice...clear as day"No." AW! It begins!

It just FEELS like an ear ache!

For the past week and a half Aidan has been tugging on his right ear like crazy. He hasn't been fussy so i put off taking him to the Dr. telling myself if he had an earache he would be fussier. Finally i decided to take him, my friend Megan helped me take him and Layla(figured if it turns out being an earache might as well get her checked too). Come to find out it is not his ear at all, just his brain sending the wrong signals. He is actually already getting one of his muller's! Poor thing in less than 2 months has gotten 6 teeth, and now a muller. His Pediatrician said if Aidan could talk he would actually say his ear did hurt, it's kind of like when you have a heart attack your arm hurts, and when you have gallbladder problems your shoulder can hurt...weird but that is how the signals in our brain apparently work. So that is the news this week, until today when Aidan became a tough boy, not just a baby boy haha. Let me explain, in the 14 months the kids both have managed not to bleed, (minus the time i clipped Layla's nail to short when she was 3 months old). ANYWAY, today he was dancing to "the muffin man" and lost his balance right into this rolling singing hard ball, i guess his mouth was bleeding pretty bad, (i was at class at this time so missed the whole thing). Nikki and Gary said they assume his bottom teeth either cut his top lip or gums. I am glad he is ok, when i got home he was happily back to dancing again, so i gave him some Motrin just in case it starts to hurt soon. That boy is just a dancing maniac lately, hehe, Layla too. :)

Well, It is here!

Well, for all of you that haven't bothered to take a second look at the quarters you get in change...here is the Wyoming quarter, the 4th style this year. Of course Wyoming doesn't seem to get away from our Steamboat symbol, i heard people talking about it and thought HOW boring, but now that i have looked it over a few times in person, i am starting to like the ol steamboat symbol.

Pack Rat....

OK, it appears that we have a pack rat in our house...this is about HALF of the stuff that Kendall found last night in a box in the hallway, stuff that we wondered where the heck it had gone...who is this little pack rat? Ms. Laylabear herself. haha, Apparently she had dropped more stuff in today too, what a silly little girl, she brings stuff straight there and drops it in.
