Bye Bye!

Well, Blogger now has it to where you can add videos straight on here and skip the step of youtube.com, so i thought i would try it out! Here is a video i took of Layla and Aidan looking outside, this is what people see when they walk by, or when they leave our house, what they leave behind. Thought i would share it with the you guys, at least 15 seconds of it, it is A LOT cuter in person! You can see Layla lick the screen, they both do that and smash their noses against the screen and look like little piggies!
On another note, Aidan's developmental therapist Deanna came over today, he will be completely discharged from the program in November. Of course his neck looks great, they also checked his ears and they look perfectly healthy. Layla's are healthy but they couldn't do the full test since she wasn't cooperative, Aidan sat like an angel, we were all shocked! She also took pictures of their eyes to check how healthy they are, its crazy that a black and white picture of just their eyes and i could tell them apart! We will get the results to that in the mail. We also are doing the infantsee, a free program to check eye development before a year old, i'd suggest it to anybody...since they couldn't get us in before their 1st birthday they are allowing us to in September for free still...cool deal!

Ms. Supervisor!

Today is the second day of school, and yes as usual i am annoyed at all the new freshman tracing around campus. With that said, my classes are going to be alright...one new classroom rebuilt in the classroom building you can write on every surface of the wall, it is like a big white board....crazy stuff. Anyway with the news...i am now a supervisor at my work! whoohoo, not only that i get a pay raise, only 50 cents but that is only because i have built up so much raises from being here so dang long haha. But it will be a lot of fun, i will get about 20 hours a week in just at the call center so that will be an ok paycheck since the rest of my time will be full time school, and the kids! :) Yay for being in charge!

Smallest Pokes Fans!

Here are the cutest cowboy fans :) We had that photo shoot today, and so they wore these outfits, although Aidan was the only one that ended up in a picture with me:( the rest were just me alone with other students. oh well, Layla had a blast playing with all the new people! hehe, they get to go to their first Cowboy football game on Saturday, we are VERY excited, especially since rumors say it may be close to a sell out, and well the kids can do "touchdown!" and lift their hands hehe. I am teaching them a few actions to other cheers too, so hopefully they will be good in a few days for the game!

Put a Sock In It!

Ok, have I ever mentioned that my kids are pretty silly? Well they are! Here is a picture i caught of Aidan carrying around his sock in his mouth. Sad thing is, this isn't a rare occurence, both kids seem to enjoy taking off their socks or each other's socks and carrying them around in their mouths as they waddle about the room playing. The picture is even more funny because he has no pants on, that because he tipped over a cup of water on himself trying to "drink" from it. aww...tries so hard to be grown up!

On that note, today is the beginning of Fall Semester, i have class in over an hour, but before that i have to go get pictures taken for brochures or something for campus, couple of my friends are doing it also, the kids are going to be able to be in it with me to hopefully. Yea, maybe ill find out more about this thing and expand later. Back to class...ugh already? Where did my summer go? I haven't even ordered my books yet! Guess that is something ill have to do tonight, because campus prices as you all know are OUTRAGEOUS! but i may have to buy one book and bring it back later since i have an assignment due this evening for my online sociology class.

Saturday Afternoon Hike

Layla and I by the first little pond we found, it was a beautiful day, a little on the hot side but enjoyable.
A little waterfall that we found in the stream, emphasis on little.
Kendall and Aidan overlooking the valley and pond that we found. We climbed to the tops of the rocks to get back to the car and well, the other side was too steep so ended up going back down and around...rrrr.

This afternoon Kendall, Aidan, Layla, and I decided to go for a hike up at Veadauwoo. We found a little stream and followed it for quite a wile till it broke out into a little pond, and as we followed the little ponds we saw beaver dams and all of the trees around there had been chopped down by the beavers. It was pretty neat you could see their teeth marks and such on the stumps. We were going to go farther to find a good picture of the beavers or dams but the kids were getting pretty tired and hot. In all we hiked over an hour around trees, rocks, and streams...A lot of fun:)

An afternoon of walking, and a little park fun!

Today i took the kids for a good hour out this afternoon for a walk and then we stopped at a park 3 blocks from our house to play in the sand, grass, and well the best part is the swings! I really like the wagon, it is easier to pull then to push a stroller, only thing is Laramie is just now starting to put in wheelchair accessible curbs, and that is only on the main streets, i avoid those!(Ask Karen how annoying it has been for her to have her street blocked off for a couple weeks now). So we just walk on the side of the road on the not so busy neighborhoods. It works for now...
Only one swing was clean so the kids had to take turns, here is Aidan kicking his foot up as he swings, he was just giggling so much!
Layla watches Aidan swing patiently with Eeyore in tow. Notice the kids have shoes on? haha that was a birthday present from Gary and Nikki, the only thing is they can't walk or crawl in them well, and it took me an extra 15 minutes getting ready time to find socks for them that semi match and then to put them on before they had them off! haha!
And now Layla's turn on the swing, she couldn't stop giggling either! They love these swings! After we were done we went home and had some dinner then went on a 2 hour walk with Kendall to pass out Thank you cards from the party to those in walking distance which is 7 houses of people we know...it's nice :)

Kendall has an OFFICE!

Well, here it is! Kendall has moved up from the "file" room at his work into a real office! Sweet yes i know:) The kids and i went to visit him at work yesterday because we wanted to drop off 2 picture frames for Kendall to put on his desk, one of Layla and one of Aidan. :) He might get to move his office again, just depends what another Realtor wants, if he does he would have a corner office! Anyway, he has two desks, a big book shelf and a table and chairs. Pretty neat :) Thinking when i get paid i will get some pictures and maybe a plant to hang up in his office...well i'm working on him to let me frame some of the pictures i have taken of nature stuff in such...

Deadwood

This weekend Kendall and i took a short trip up to Deadwood, South Dakota. Nikki offered to watch the kids, which was great so we could enjoy some gambling and time together! We met up with our friends Tori and Kyle. We had a pretty neat house that if you know how deadwood is, it is like placed in this well little valley between the black hills, so everything is on a steep hill all the way up. To get to our house, we had to climb to the top of a 4 story parking garage, climb another 2 flight of stairs...walk up a street, climb another 3 story stairs, then walk some more then another flight of stairs that was about as tall as a house from basement to second floor. hehe, it was a lot of fun though! We didn't lose too much money actually, broke about even, but i did win 87$ playing black jack for the first time!! :) Then the slot machines took it back! haha. Here are the only 4 pictures i took, but tori has a few more im going to try and get from her:)
Kendall and I eating at a prime rib buffet at the Silverado Casino. Aren't we cute?

This is about 1 flight of stairs down from the house we stayed at, you can see the lights way down below...The walking was good for the calves!
Kendall playing his favorite slot game, Wheel of Fortune, he won 250$ on one and then another 100$ on another, but we decided to gamble that away later haha! Tori has the picture of my first slot pull ;)
Later after the night went on, and Sunday early morning came, we found a closet in the Silverado Casino with this sign "Whoa Pardner Gun Fight" so...we had to get a picture in the closet with it! It was a grand time let me tell you, but i am REAL glad to get home to my little tykes! They both are walking around like crazy, i am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok Goodnight, i'm running off of 4 hours of sleep right now...

Eeyore II?

Everybody who has seen Layla knows she cannot sleep or go anywhere without her beloved Eeyore stuffed animal she got for Christmas. This Eeyore has seen so much love that Nikki had to sew his ear back on, and i had to stitch up his ripped open back. She is definitely attached to this animal. We have all been talking about getting Layla another Eeyore, not to replace this other one but to let it get equal love so they may last a little longer! Emily finally found another one. Here is a picture of the two, the original Eeyore cannot hold his head up, is darker from god knows what, and has lost all his fluff. Layla likes the smell of her Eeyore so she can tell the difference just from that. Last night we tried the swap and she cried. When we swapped back, she immediately started smelling him. Well, i guess she has made her decision! It reminds me of my pillowcase i had growing up, i took it everywhere spilled good smelling food on it on purpose! I would never let it be replaced even though my mom did try a few times...It's still around to this day too! :) So hopefully Eeyore II can just help prolong the long life of hugs, kisses, spillled food, and slobber ahead of him!

1 Year Well-Checkup

Layla and Aidan had their 1 year well checkup yesterday and everything looks great. Layla weighs close to 20 pounds, i think she lost some weight last week, since she was only eating about one meal a day(sick). Aidan weighed an ounce off of 21 pounds! Layla is 30 inches long, and Aidan is only a quarter inch taller at 30 1/4 inches. They both are developing so close together! The doctor said they both seem real healthy and are looking great. The good news is, their height has reached well above average! Yes it is genetics that determines this, but we are just glad they are growing taller! :) He said their weight and head circumference is below the average line, this too being genetics, so nothing to worry about, we just have skinny babies for their height hehe. Also this being the point where they can cross over from formula to milk, and adult food, this can cause a level out in weight. The best news of the day? The kids are at a 14 month level, so not only did they catch up from being a month behind in development by 9 months(premature birth remember), they are now 2 months ahead. Whoohoo! Yes i had to just boast a little bit ;)

1st Birthday Party!

Layla and Aidan turned ONE yesterday! Yay! Even though poor Laylabear has been sick with a high fever going on 5 days now, she still joined in the festivities. About 20 friends and family showed up for the birthday bash, to celebrate with the kids. It was a lot of fun, and Aidan was quite the little host crawling from person to person....oh wait not to greet them, to look for food! haha. The whole party went great, the people who came really care about the kids, and heck these kids were spoiled rotten by the end of the evening with such great gifts! They were on their best behavior, and really seemed to enjoy all of the attention! Here are a few pictures from the birthday party. Here is their Spongebob Cake, it was delicious and made by Emily, it was perfect!
Layla posing with Nikki, showing her birthday spirit by wearing the spongebob party hat.
Aidan showing that he is "One" years old, he was pretty proud of that trick!
Aidan enjoying his piece of cake, he ate his pretty fast, looked around...then reached over to grab Layla's plate and cake! What a stinker!
Here is Ms. Bear checking out the pile presents with her beloved Eeyore. They got such great stuff!

Piggy Dance

Ok, so i took another video of the kids dancing with the piggy. This one isn't dark at all, and its just pretty darn precious. Layla kept on bending down to kiss it on the nose, i have that on another video. :D

3 Little Piggies! :)

Aidan and Layla have really taken a liking to this rocking pig that Nikki has. It sings and mouth moves, REAL cute. I have a video of the two dancing by it as it sings, but it is a little dark so i'm debating on posting that. It's hard to believe they will be one in 4 more days! Holy Smokes time flies! :)

Hotels, Weddings, and AIDAN WALKS!

Layla and Aidan had a few firsts this weekend. We took a trip to Gillette for our friends Nick and Heidi's wedding. So this was the first hotel the kids got to play in or stay in! The wedding Emily and I could only hear since the kids were too fussy tired to stay in the sanctuary. But the reception was nice, with prime rib too add :) The kids were little angels despite how exhausted they were. I left early, so Kendall, Nikki, and Emily could continue on to have a good time. The best part of the weekend? Aidan took his first 2 steps without anything to hold him up but his own legs! YAY! He refuses to try again, but as soon as he does ill get the camera out to show that!

Pregnant for 10.5 Years?

Ok, i admit one of my little secrets...for the past couple years i have watched and kept up with this family "the Duggar Family" Yes a lot of you may have caught one of their shows on TLC or Discovery Health. I just read an article that they welcome their 17th child this week, and at the end of the article they figured that she has been pregnant for 10.5 years of her life. Wow. Takes a very special mom to dedicate that much of her life to pregnancy, to raise 17 kids from newborn up to 19 and home school on top of that. Amazing...wish i could have some tips on where her patience comes from! I think i'm just a big wimp and will stay with my only having 8 months of pregnancy, that was enough for me! Here is the article, in case you wanted to catch up on the latest :)

One Years Old....SOON!

Layla and Aidan have grown so much over this past year it is hard to believe! I am loving every moment of it, and when they accomplish a new developmental step they always look up to Kendall or I for an applause. :) This is the pair sitting at a table Kendall's boss gave them, she had it for her grandchildren but they have all grown to big for it. The table they are eating off of is actually a white board, when you flip it over it is a lego table, so you can build on it, take the whole top off and it has places to put paints and water. Real neat, has little pull out drawers too. A problem we are having is they are growing so fast out of their old toys, such as the saucers and the swings we are running out of space! I guess sometime we will have to make a trip with all of Amber's stuff she kindly let us borrow so we can have more space!
Guess what? A week from tomorrow is the big birthday bash! I am REAL excited but still have a lot of planning and preparation, i should probably make a list of things to do. I need to sit down and write their letters too, i have SO much that i want them to know, its hard to put into words! This weekend is busy because we have a wedding to attend, and the long drive there and back. The kids are going with us so i am hoping they will be on their BEST behavior! It is another Fraternity brother of Kendall's. This couple is special to me in the way that my first week here before classes started i didn't know many people, and Kendall got this couple Heidi and Nick to go out for ice cream with us so i could meet more people. It wasn't a date or anything but it started my friendship with Kendall officially i guess! :) Man that was 3 years ago!! Some little sappy thing i remember (Amber does it time to time it's my turn to have some sap on my blog!:)
