Memorial Day Weekend and Nana's Birthday!

This weekend, Kendall, Layla, Aidan, and I traveled to my home to see my parents, not only did i have a three day weekend but it was my mom's birthday!! We only stayed one night but we had A LOT of fun, and Ebony sure was happy to see her cousins Layla and Aidan! It was nice being able to hang out with Karen, Zach, Brian, Nga, and my parents again together, its just too bad that Amber, Greg and Adrianna couldnt have made it. Ebony and I had a lot of fun together and oh man going back home always means TRAMPOLINE! My parents bought a new matt for it last summer, however i wasn't able to jump on it due to being pregnant or snow, so i was excited! Here are some pictures from the weekend, oh and 2 more days of classes and then i have a week off!! Whoohoo, then it is class again and work! and for those who don't know, Kendall found a job with a real estate company that will get him licenced and a broker within 2 years! Whoohoo, i think it was fate, the place wasn't hiring but he just saw it driving by (its only 7 blocks away) turned in his resume and now the lady really wants to help him gain these goals, Awww, he is happy:) Im proud, and the kids have about equal time with both of us...now if we can just find time for each other in all of that haha!

Best Friends

Layla and Aidan seem to enjoy each others company more and more each day, even if they are taking toys from eachother they still seem to roll/army crawl back to one another. This morning, Layla was standing up in her crib so she could see Aidan, and she was just giggling like crazy. They always find something they think is funny and both laugh at eachother and have such a great time! It is nice to have them entertain eachother, for us anyway! haha! It's a three day weekend for me off of school and that is GREAT! I need the time to rest, school has been kicking my butt, so tonight Nikki, Emily, and I are taking off to Denver for the night for our friend Shebli's bachlorette party, we are all pretty excited! :) It's still in the works, but we are also trying to make it home to my parents to visit for my Mom's birthday on monday, my brother will be there also and we may take a detour to Guernsey Res. to hang out with friends there (jet ski's and a boat, oh man!)...We will see, my 7 year old neice Ebony called me last night to inform me that she really misses and loves Layla and Aidan, so we should come see her :) Who can say no to that?

8 Random Things

Well, i guess it is my turn to finally do this, i was tagged by Amber http://www.noreimerreason.com . So here are 8 random things interesting or not that not everybody knows about.

1. I have a mound of socks under my covers that i kick off each night (Kendall HATES it).
2. I like photography, i hope to get some of my pictures sold someday.
3. I have never broken a bone.
4. I have only had surgery and stitches once, and the result of that was wonderful- Two perfect kids!
5. I absolutely do not like mayo.
6. I have tasted 20 wines in one week.
7. I talk on my phone while in the bathroom doing business.
8. I am really getting into the behaviorism theories on why people and animals act the way they do.

Ok, lets see, i am now going to tag my mama, Janis!

Stand By Me

Oh man! Today i came home from my morning class and the kids were down for their nap as usual, i could still here them playing in their cribs, which is fine as long as they fall asleep. Anyway, Mr. Aidan started fussing so i went in their, laid him back down, gave him a binky, and a stuffed animal to cuddle. I turned around and just froze! Ms. Layla had pulled herself up to her feet and was standing! This is the first time she has done this, and she never really tries that often so it was a major suprise! I was so happy i called Kendall in, but then my mind went "dangit" if i get too excited ill be reinforcing her to play in her crib not sleep. So i said good girl, it is now nap time, laid her back down and tucked her in. Awww, such a milestone! I am worried with my 7 hour class days i will miss something, glad i didnt miss this!

Yay Finger Foods

Yesterday i bought the kids another highchair since their bouncy chairs have been retired(

one snapped...) Here they are enjoying their highchairs and eating cherios. They can pretty much everything we eat, meats and such except dairy and yogurt. But heck getting closer, and they love it. You can tell by the look on Aidan's face, he is very proud to be eating finger foods. Still no crawling, close though(been saying that for a month!) oh side note, those little weiners in a jar for kids? Smell JUST like canned dog food, same texture too, makes me skeptical of what i am feeding them! UCK!

9 Month Wellness Checkup

Yesterday we took the kids to see the Doc. Everything is great, they couldnt be more healthy. They are right where they should be developmentally(actually physically at a 10month level!), and have passed the average development curve for pretty much everything else...Yay! :) They didn't have any shots this time, only poked in their big toe for a blood sample to check their humoglobin levels, and good news they are not anemic! They are on finger foods now, biscuits, cherios, that nature, and can have meats now, as soon as i find the time to go to the store! hehe.

Cruising!

Look what i found! One of these little stagecoach kid carriers at Walmart for a pretty good price, considering they can cost upwards of 300$ It fits two, has little seatbelts, and best of all ALSO converts to a jogging stroller, so i can use it for that or rollerblading. Aww...convenience, and nice since just a jogging stroller can cost upwards of 200$ (crazy). So now it is encourages Kendall and I to ride bikes if we do not feel up to walking (we walk everyday weather permitting). I love it already! It folds up completely flat for carrying. Another plus is Aidan has thrown out 2 pacifiers on our walks in the past week, the one we did find he made sure to drop on a street so it was smashed, this carrier is completely covered. oooh man. Now i need to find infant helmets, they don't make them under 3 year old here in town, that annoys me, so im checking online.

Still Around

Well, things have gotten pretty busy this week, and i am sure that it will get much much more busy before my 3 week classes are over with. Since only 3 weeks of school, i go from 840-1140, come home, help with the kido's, read, work on homework, get things done that need to be done, and go to class from 6-10. I then work Fridays and Saturdays...Whoo...atleast my night class i can relax with the tasting of wine. Did you know (those who care) that here in Wyoming there is 25 winery's/vineyards? Wow...wouldn't think our harsh climate could produce grapes, but last night i sampled some stuff about 80 miles from here, near my hometown. I tried some Rasberry, grapes and honey wine all grown in Wyoming. For you Nebraska folk there is actually about 20 winery's/vineyards there, one being in Ogallala, having mostly honey wines. Here is a site that has the vineyards in the west http://wineswest.com/ Notice the one out of Mitchell Nebraska? i have been to, laying tile there, building a bar, and also wine cabinets, the owner is the brother to the guy i work for in my hometown doing cabinetry. Ok. All i got for now, the kids are great, growing big, and have met every "criteria" for a 9month old...so i think thats pretty good since they were a month behind from the beginning! They have their 9 month wellness check with their Doc on Friday, so there you go, you made it through another rambling post of mine. ;)

Family Weekend!

This weekend almost my whole family could make it, minus my brother, his girlfriend and my neice Ebony. My parents made it down, Karen and Zach came over, and Amber, Greg, and Adrianna. IT was a lot of fun, we had a BBQ for Karens birthday, a good hardy breakfest this morning, and we were able to walk to a nearby park. Today we went to Vedauwoo to enjoy the lovely weather, beautiful scenery and neat rock formations. The kids went too, and we just carried them around as we hiked up and around the rocks. Here is my neice Adrianna playing in the dirt. She loves to point out all of the ants.
Layla and Aidan sitting in a little spot of flowers, all around them were rocks since we had climbed to the middle of a bunch of rocks.
My brother in law Greg and Kendall sitting on top of some rocks. We had fun climbing around them.
Kendall and Aidan posing for the camera...the kids really liked looking at the trees and rocks.
Kendall, Aidan, Layla and I posing under a pile of rocks, which made this cool place you could stand under or walk through.
Me striking a pose in the middle of a bunch of rocks i climbed to.

Splish Splash!

We bought Layla and Aidan a kiddy pool at Walmart this week, it was only 20$ so i got the loaded one hehe, with all kinds of fun blowup things that come with it!
We poured hot water in it to help keep it warm for them, Layla liked the little balls that came with it, Aidan the loops that your supposed to throw on the giraffe. The only time Layla cried was when she fell over and got all wet...hehe what a girly girl!
Heres so you can see the whole pool, there is a little seperate one also. Very cute! We are going to set it up again tomorrow so they can sit in it again, and maybe their cousin Adrianna who is going to be here(she is 2) can play too!

Swing! Swing!

The kids swinging, Kendall too if you look, my camera ran out of batteries before i could get all three!
Aidan making a goofy face as he swings up close to me!

Layla smiling as she swings away from me:)

Layla and Aidan playing in the sand...they liked it Layla too considering grass is still a little weird for her.

The kids, Kendall, and i all went back to a park near here where they have these swings for little kids, Layla and Aidan LOVE them! We then walked over to another park about 10 blocks down from this one, and went on a slide, and played in the sand. They also enjoyed picking up a handfull of sand and dropping it slowly on themselves...haha they didn't eat any though, thanks to having their pacifiers in their mouth the whole time! haha! I also bought them the coolest pool set, it has a bigger pool and a smaller pool within that, a slide, a girafe to throw rings on, a lion that shoots out balls, a snake, and a palm tree that sprouts water...looks pretty fun haha! Were ready too for that first crawling experience, their Nana bought them a baby gate to keep them from leaving the room.

Hitting the books

Well, Layla and Aidan pulled out my Personal Finance book, and began will "hitting" it. They thought it was pretty amusing!
Layla drug and pushed the my book around the living room for awile, hitting it, and babbling her little baba, mama, and lala syllables.

Seizure Wakeup

This morning around 7:30, my brother in law woke me up with his call (he is out of town for his Pharamcy rotation). He told me that i needed to go get Karen, he had called her and she was disoriented, confused, and bleeding, he said she had had another seizure like back in November. My drive there was very quick, even though Murphy's Law had placed a school bus in front of me. I was so scared of what i would find, Zach did not explain much since he had only talked to her on the phone. I was so worried she would try and go to work confused before i got there! She was laying on the couch talking to Zach on the phone, and i saw the pool of blood on the floor next to the couch. We think she apparantly fell of the couch during her seizure hitting her head on the floor, she has a mark on her nose, and we think rug burn on her forhead. I was so worried and trying to keep my calm to get her to the hospital, she was very disoriented, and confused. We got her there, she has to stay the night in the hospital since the Catscan showed blood on her brain, Karen doesn't have a history of seizures...They are putting her on seizure medicines now. My sister Amber and Mom came into town to be with Karen today also(zach came back too). They are all at the hospital though, but im too tired to be there tonight, long day. Ill just stay home tonight to worry and pray.

Happy May Day!!!

Why not run through the sprinklers? Aidan and Gary running through the sprinklers to keep cool in the hot weather we have had (70 is good for here, i love it, never gets over 100 typically even in the summer!)
Layla and Kendall taking their turn running through the sprinklers....Funfun!!

We have had such gorgeous weather in the day and in then afternoons thunderstorms, couldn't be better! well yes actually, after thursday when i have all my final school stuff done, then i will have a week off, and start ALL over again with summer session! The first session i have 6 credit hours which is a heavy load in the summer since so much information is crunched into 6 hours a day of school. But im excited for my Geography of Wine class, it is my upper division outside my major, so i get points there AND we get to taste and learn about wine everynight from everywhere, pretty neat. What do they say? A glass of wine a day helps keep the heart healthy?
