Well, i do not know if i can explain too much about these pictures, except that Aidan is wearing Gary's hat and gloves, he must know that it is single digits outside these past few days!

Developmental Evaluation Results
Today the ladies from the Developmental Center here came over with the results of Aidan's developmental evaluation he had last week. I really enjoy that they are able to come to our house, it saves us time, and then we do not have to worry about what to do with Layla. Anyway, they were sure to have him qualify for their program, and we agreed to have the physical therapist come and help us work with him. The great thing about this program is they teach us how to help him, we are overall the ones who will help his torticollis. The ladies said we will set up a 6 month goal which in the end will be Aidan's neck to be straightened. His results of his other developmental areas as followed: His adaptive and personal/social skills were in the average range, his cognitive was borderline average, mostly because he cannot turn his head one way to look at noises because of the torticollis, and his language is 3 points above average.

My Friend Spongebob.
Here is Aidan prowdly showing off his dear friend Spongebob Squarepants, over the months they have become close friends and spend alot of time just hanging out as you can see from this picture. Spongebob has been there for Aidan through the tough times of waiting for the bottle warmer to heat his dinner, the times of exhaustion, when he just doesn't want to fall asleep, and just there for Aidan to have a guy to talk with when Layla is being too girly for him. Everybody, meet Spongebob.
Here is Layla who also has found a friend in Spongebob Squarepants. He seems to have that fun attitude that Layla needs, she enjoys laughing, giggling, and smiling with Spongebob, he keeps her sane during those fussy times that Aidan has now and then.

Thanksgiving Mustard?
After a long day of eating delicious food, the turkey eventually made us get drousy, now Layla, she doesn't really have a turkey excuse, she was just tired i guess!
Story: Today waking up to Aidan fussying again, my first thought was to let kendall get him, since i heard Kendall already fixing a bottle in the kitchen. Second thought, well why dont i be nice and change Aidan's diaper for him. I groggily get up, grab Aidan and lay him on the floor to change him. Reaching around to pull up his sleep sack, i feel something warm, and wet. Thinking he just peed up his back i sighed and pulled my hand out, only to discover A LOT of slimey mustard poo alllll over my hand, and up Aidans back! EWWW! It reminded me of Adrianna when Mom was holding her to discover she had poo'd up her back too haha. .

Laugh Out Loud (LOL)
I forgot to almost mention that Mr. Aidan had his first laugh on November 12th, Nikki was the first to witness it, then John and Kendall heard him laugh a few nights later, and now we can get him to laugh a little more frequently, it is sooo adorable!!! Also, the Developmental lady came over today to have us fill out paperwork, and next week Aidan's neck will be evaluated and also every other development area just because they do it all.

WIC
Today was Aidan and Layla's 3 month checkup at our local WIC. They usually just check their weight, and update my WIC benefits, since i am not breastfeeding anymore, they added cans of formula onto my card which will be nice, since we spend about 180$ in formula a month, this will save us hopefully 100$ give or take. Too bad there wasn't a diaper program since we spend over a 100$ on diapers a month depending the deals we can find! However, i did contact a few diaper companies about having twins and getting some diaper discounts or something. One did write back, and said they would send me plenty of coupons if i sent proof of having twins. Very nice, also a formula company said about the same thing, they would give us checks towards formula. Neat Stuff. Anyway back to the WIC visit, they weighed Layla and Aidan and then figured out their percentile using a program that alters the results to premature babies, so both are in the 50-75 percentile accounting for their prematurity. Layla weighed in at 11LBS 9OZ and Aidan came in first for the heavier of the two at 12LBS 5OZ. Both were around 22.5inches long. Crazy how little they were when they were born, less than half of what they are now!

Getting out!
This weekend it was nice to be able to get out and relax. Friday night Nikki offered to watch the kids so Kendall and I could go out with a friend of ours that has been over in Iraq most the year, it was nice to be able to hangout with him together, we were just planning on each taking a different night to hang out, but things worked out better this way! Then on Saturday night, Gary's mom took the twins for a couple hours, so that Gary, Nikki, Kendall and I could go to the movies together. That was also a nice break, but boy did i miss them little ones! We went to "Stranger Than Fiction", with Will Farrell. Pretty funny, different kind of comedy but i would recommend it.
"Stand By Me"~The Beatles
Here are some pictures of Layla and Aidan standing together. Their legs are pretty strong already, and they can support themselves standing(just have to make sure they dont wobble over) The picture of Layla and Aidan leaning on the ottoman, notice that Kendall just has his hands next to Layla, not touching her, but there incase she tips over. Gary's hand is resting next to Aidan to insure he wont tip to one side, but both babies are holding themselves up against the ottoman. The picture of Aidan, you can see that Gary's hand is still just resting next to Aidan on either side to insure he doesn't wobble over. This last picture is of Layla leaning on Aidan's bouncy chair with him in it, notice nobody is around Layla and she is holding her self up agains the chair. What strong little babies i think hehe! Also, ms. Layla rolled over again today within 30 seconds of my placing her on her tummy. Such a smarty!

Declared
Today i finally went from an undeclared junior in A&S college to a declared Psychology major and Creative Writing minor. I see now why i took so long, they had me going all over campus for signatures and such. Pain in my butt. Anyway, i have been leaning toward Psychology since i first started going to college, i really started enjoying Psychology since Highschool, i had an awesome teacher who really made me enjoy the concepts. So i am standing pretty well in that area, and i noticed i was close to getting a minor in creative writing so i am like what the heck pick that up also, never know i could write a book, haha if not maybe ill pick up some education classes incase things fall through, i wouldnt mind teaching Middle School or College courses. I will get to sign up for my classes next Thursday and i am pretty excited about few of the Psychology classes i am taking, i still am trying to figure out if i should pick up another class to put me at 16 credits. Guess we will see, i just do not want to fall too far behind since i only took 12 credits this last semester to stay fulltime. I also picked up a few more hours of work at the Foundation House, what i did last semester and this summer, just researching wrong numbers so i will still be calling in the evenings also. Somehow i am an Alum here? I was wondering why the alumni association kept calling me, i must have gotten coded wrong, pretty funny though!

Dress Up
Well, my dad mentioned to my mom the other day, how i tend to dress up the babies alot and take pictures. He jokes that since i was never interested in dolls as a little girl, this is my time to play dress up with my real babies. hehe. Thing is instead of dressing up dolls when i was little, i would dress up our 2 dachounds and take pictures. Well, guess that is why i have about 30 pictures of Aidan and Layla laying on this blanket, hehe, guess then i can pick out my favorite ones, good thing for digital cameras and not worrying about running out of film! Well, here are some cheerful pictures of the babes that i took this afternoon! Enjoy! :D
Closing in on 3 Months!
Here are some pictures of the babes, they are only 3 days off of being 3 months already! Time has really flown by! Aidan in his picture is having tummy time and kept flashing me silly faces so i had to snap a quick picture! Layla makes this face everytime she is cooing and babbling to us, they love to talk now and sometimes we catch them taking turns talking back and forth to eachother, (maybe its some infant language that they can understand eachother?). They say "Hi" alot when we say hi to them kinda cute, and a few other words we try and makeout, hehe i dont think its a purpose thing on their part though! This other picture is of Layla and Aunt Karen who came and visited today while Zach was at class. We watched the movie "cars" and i think it is pretty cute, however, the babes fell asleep soon after it started, silly things! Tomorrow is a spongebob marathon, so they will be watching that and listening,we think they recognize Spongebob's voice because they seem to enjoy talking to the TV when he is on, also they turn toward the TV when they hear his voice and they are on the playmat. Also, i splurged the other day, i bought them the most darling Christmas outfits, it's their first Christmas so why not let them look pretty cute! I will post pictures later on after Thanksgiving, with them in the outfits and hopefully get a family picture with them in the outfits too. Pretty excited! Other than that things just have been moving slowly with school, i am figuring out my class scedule for next semester, and wondering if i could handle more than 12 credits, i would like to take 15 or 16 so i do not fall too far behind. We will see.

Long Night
Well, as most of you know last night was pretty eventful. It started around 8:30, when i was playing with Layla, i heard my phone vibrating, i saw it was Zach (my brother in law) and i just figured it was Karen calling me using his phone since she always "misplaces" hers. It was Zach however, and the phone conversation went something like this "Karen had a seizure and we are on the way to the hospital!!" At this point i just started crying, grabbed my keys and wallet(do not know what made me think to grab my wallet) Anyway i was running out the door and Nikki stopped me and would not let me drive, because i was too upset, so she took me and stayed with me until i came home around 11 after Mom got there to take over the hassling of Dr's. Well, long story short, Karen did have a seizure, a pretty scary thing, since she has had 2 brain tumors inthe past, we all have that worry again. This has never happened to her before however so we all were pretty worried. Luckily Zach was there with her, and since he is studying to be a pharmasist he knows some medical things so he knew what to do! She had numerous tests, including an MRI and CATscan, all which showed up normal. They kept her over night, and now she has to make a few desicions about what to do to prevent future seizures or just expect this to be an isolated incident. I know i am still pretty worried, and i am thankful i live in the same town with her so i can help keep an eye on her and ease all our minds of this not happening again, if not atleast someone can always be around. Plus it will be fun taking some lunches with her since she cannot drive legally for 90 days because of this. Since we live near campus, i figure this week Karen will just come hang out with me and the babes since she has work off obviously, and Zach can just walk to school from our house, and since the Health Sciences building is only 2 blocks away, he is very close to come if need be. I only have a few classes so i am here most the time, and if i am not Kendall is so we can all just hang out and play with the kids. I am just real thankful she is ok and Zach was there with her!

Splitting up and Torticollis
Today i brought Mr. Aidan to the Doctor's to check out his neck, he always keeps it to the right side(if you look back at the pictures on my blog of Aidan, you will see what i am talking about.) Turns out that it is something called Torticollis, which pretty much means "tilted" neck, something like a stiff neck in a way. This is something that probably happened gradually over time. To fix it, i am supposed to put heat on the stiffness, and work on stretching out his neck 2 times a day or more, of course he is not happy with this, it hurts. His doctor also notified a developmental daycare and preschool which specializes in pediatric physical therapy, i am supposed to call them on monday and hopefully get set up for sometime this week. This will help get his neck stretched out and they will show me more ways to do it at home also, another perk is this is a free program which is nice, because that could get expencive! Also today, Layla and Kendall took off to Nebraska, since Aidan had his Dr. Appointment he didn't go. They are only gone for the night to work out some family things. This will be the first night they have been split up, although they don't sleep in the crib together, i think now the reason Aidan gets so upset in the crib is because of his stiff neck, so hopefully we can work that kink out and get him back to sleeping with Layla in the crib. Well, thats all i have for an update right now.
