Mail Lady Mixup

Apparently when i was at work Saturday, the mail lady was A LITTLE confused. Here is the story as told to me: Kendall, Gary, and Nikki were taking Layla and Aidan out into the front yard to play. The mail lady commented on the kids, saying oooh they look just like their father, looking at Gary, Gary realized she was talking to him and then said, "oh nooo im not the father" and pointed at Kendall "he is!". The mail lady goes "ooh their skin is so light", and Nikki chimed in, "oh their mother is light skinned". The mail lady still didn't get it, and said something about Nikki being their mother, and she is like "noo their mother isnt here we just are the roommates!" Well, the mail lady came back around a while later(she parks by our house) and commented again, "Well they look so much like you (Gary and Nikki), you must be the aunts and uncles?" And Gary again answered, Nope no relation at all! The lady must have been sooo confused!

Weekly Wednesday Catchup

Busy Week

I haven't been able to update much lately, things have been busy with so many final projects due this next week and then finals the following, it is hard to juggle all of that, the kids, Kendall's schedule vs mine, and work, so i put internet at the bottom of my priority list, however i am only updating to procrasinate writing the rest of my psych research paper for my death and dying class. Oh joy!
Here is Aidan lounging with Kendall, he is tickling him, he is such a silly kid, him and Layla are still not crawling but are SOOO close!!! I can't wait! They are almost over their horrible colds, Layla had it more in her head, with a CONSTANT runny nose, and Aidan had it in his chest, so that kept us on edge since we were worried it would go into something worse! They just sleep in their swings so they can breathe better. Hopefully soon they will go back to the crib, and i think soon after that Aidan will move into his own crib since Layla tends to pick on him all night long keeping him awake. (she rolls over to play with his face, pull his ears, take his paci..quite the little bully!)

Back Pain

Since the beginning of March i have been having horrible backpain that has been increasing more and more, this morning when i woke up i couldn't stand up straight, i was unable to pick up the kids, bend over, and barely get out of bed from the pain! Since the joint doctor here only comes on tuesday i couldn't wait till then, so this morning i headed to the ER. Found out from my pregnancy, my joints as with every lady having a baby, spread, including the bones and muscles in my lower back, wellllll turns out they did not go back properly in to place and are "off" a bit. This is causing pain which the Doctor says ill have forever pretty much, i need to see a physical therapist to help work my joints and muscles to help the pain, ice it, and take antiinflamitories, muscle relaxers and yes strong pain killers. Hopefully i can stretch enough that i dont have to be feeling disabled and hobbling around in pain all my life!

Duece-Duece

Today is my 22 Birthday! YAY!

Ms. Layla fell asleep looking at the orange seahorse and ended up staying on her side, Cutie! Here is a little bear i got for my birthday from my mom and dad, his name is "lil Elliot. Next to him is a penguin for my ipod from Gary and Nikki, when you plug him in he lights up to the music, and has different moods, moves around and makes little penguin noises. You can kind of see the lights on his belly, he is a speaker.
I recieved 2 balloons already for my birthday, One from my parents, the other singing one from Karen :) Here is Aidan enjoying one of the balloons on Nikki's lap, they LOVE the balloons! haha.
Here is Layla and Aidan dressed up for my birthday, i didn't put pants on Aidan since it is pretty warm outside. Layla is wearing a blue dress i wore as a baby, and then later Karen and I would put it on our little weiner dog Shirley. hehe ill show pictures of that later!
Kendall got me the Girls Next Door sesson one, i love it! And also a tennis racquet so he can teach me how to play, we went the other day with Gary, and Chris, it was a lot of fun but i need aLOT of work haha!

Dinner for ME!

We all got to eat dinner, we didnt make it to Applebees, but we did takeout, since we didn't know how the kids would act in the restuarant, and it gave us more time to spend playing with Layla and Aidan than if we wouldve have been in a packed restuarant! :D Great GREAT start to my birthday week!!! :D

Crawling 101

The babes are getting close, Aidan can get on his knees but then he falls off them not sure what to do after that, Layla is scooting backwards sometimes, she needs to get out of reverse! :D I am hoping by my birthday they will crawl or be VERY close since last year they kicked the day before my birthday and they sat on Kendalls birthday!

Here is Aidan covering up for the picture, good thing he had that duck! haha. I have been wanting to try them in the bathtub for a wile now, so Kendall cleaned the tub up tonight and Yay look at these cuties! Layla washed in the bathseat as Aidan played, then we switched. Poor Aidan had red marks from where i was holding him, i am just SO scared of drowning since i cant swim well, that i held on to him tightly.

Gas Leak and Cold Water

Interesting day today, however it all started last night....We discovered our water heater was leaking water all over the basement carpet, since it was so late we threw some towels on the floor, and opted to call our landlord in the morning. Simple enough, *ringring* no answer to cell phone or housephone(we left messages). Meanwhile Gary, Nikki, and Kendall all went to the driving range. After everybody got home i smelt something, gas. Kendall didnt smell anything, so i decided to go ask Nikki, since girls seem to have a better sense of smell. As soon as i got downstairs it got very STRONG, asking Nikki she is like i smelled it too!! We started cracking windows and opening doors, and when we looked at the water heater you could see what appeared to be gas streaming out. AW! We packed up the kids in the stroller, I called the fire department(KinderMorgan disconnected their local number, very convenient) and Kendall and I headed with the kids to Emily's house about 15 blocks away. We saw the fire truck pull up to our house, Gary and Nikki stayed to talk to them, and we just wanted to get the kids where it was warm. Apparantly our water heater is dangerous and cannot be used, so they unhooked it, and when KinderMorgan did get here they found a gas leak outside on the meter too, huh nice. ANYWAY, we have no hot water now, our landlord is out of town(we finally got ahold of him after 2 messages) and nobody is here to get us a new water heater. Being Easter weekend i doubt the outcome is looking good...so glad i took a shower today, but bath time with the kids all weekend will be tricky....Brigher note, we bought the CUTEST outfits for the kids for Easter dinner Sunday :) Maybe church if i can get Kendall motivated...

~Torticollis Update~

From these two pictures you can see the differences between Aidan's neck before we started working with the stretches and Deanna Aidans physical developer(September) and then now. Anyway, she came over yesterday raving how everytime she sees him(ever other week) she can see SO much improvement, she mentioned that some of the kids she sees she doesnt notice any improvement at all, and its obvious the parents haven't made time to do the stretches, she mentioned if only she could take us around to help the other parents...hehe flattering! Aidan will be done seeing her probably within the next month i imagine, they will come and re-evaluate all of his development again and compare to the beginning. Also each time she comes she always makes a point of commenting how "extremely quiet" our house is for college students...and actually yes it is very quiet, now that i think about it, they are pretty lucky to have such a stable environment and college students around with energy to continue playing with them! It also has been nice that Aunty Em has come over alot more lately(last semester she watched them a once a week why we were both at class) she now comes to help with bathtime and hang out with us afterwards, the kids as always love her, especially Aidan, which it has been like that since day 1!!

Backwards Scoot and Mama's Tongue

The kids are able to get on their knees for a few short seconds, it is starting to click to them that they need to be on their knees, but just how? Here is Aidan sucking on his bottom lip, he tends to do this a lot.
Well, some may think it is unfortunate, however, i am very proud that Layla got my long long tongue, hehe, here she is showing it off...while scooting backwards toward the door as she often does.

Cowgirls Win the WNIT Championship

Here is the AA dome, there was over 15,000 people here, and this was from our seat right behind the band, we actually had an extra seat by us so since it was sold out people must have stood(well outside a chair, we stand for the whole game anyway in the student section). If you look carefully to the left of the picture you can see a small cluster of red, other than that everybody is in brown and gold for the cowgirls!
Haley and I after we rushed the court after the Cowgirls won! We had a lot of fun, we later went out to celebrate and danced at the Parlor above the Buckhorn.
Although Layla and Aidan had to stay home, they still wore their Cowgirl gear and watched it on TV, can you tell who is who in this picture? Aidan within the first hour pooped out of his diaper on his shirt, so he didnt get to where his outfit too long...
