Against Kennedy-McCain Bill

While our soldiers are fighting bravely across seas in order to protect our freedoms and secure our safety here at home, political leaders here are lacking to defend the United States Citizen right now. The Kennedy-McCain bill is being proposed, which would allow illegal immigrants amnesty, despite being here illegally, a crime in itself. In other words illegal immigrants are being rewarded for invading our country by jumping the border, and breaking our laws. These “leaders” want to allow these law breakers citizenship, social security benefits, Medicaid, free education, and the list goes on. This is a horrible bill, and is not only a risk to United States citizens freedoms, it is a huge smack in a face for those legal immigrants that are going by the laws and have been on waiting lists with their applications and have paid their fees and worked hard to get to this point by abiding by the laws. Why on earth would we allow for those invading our country and disobeying our laws to be rewarded and given preferences over those immigrants who are here legally? What is this portraying to our children, to our future generations? That it is OK to break laws, OK to commit crimes against our country, not to mention that working hard to pay for education by those who are a citizen and law abiding, but if you break laws, sneak in illegally, you will get free education, medical care, and citizenship, something is seriously wrong here. By allowing our borders to remain open, and giving citizenship to illegal immigrants is setting our country up for an increase in criminals and drugs entering our country freely and leaves us vulnerable to terrorism. This bill is unfair to the United States of American hard working citizens, legal immigrants, and will drain our social services, harming our economy. What I do not understand is why anybody who is supposed to lead our country, insure safety, and freedom allow individuals breaking the laws of our country to not only be free of punishment but be able to be a citizen and bring 5 family members along with them to gain citizenship. Everything our country has fought for, our freedoms, the freedoms our soldiers are fighting right now is meaning nothing if we just allow any person that has snuck into our country disobeying our laws, and now taking our freedoms. The burden here is going to be laid on us, the United States taxpayers, paying for criminals here illegally breaking our laws to become citizens and have the same rights as us, who have earned, lived, and fought for our freedoms, why are we allowing leaders like this to be in office? I have supported Bush up until recently, and now I am just angry, our government is becoming increasingly corrupt and is ignoring the good of our citizens. Please take time to find out what your congressman, senators, and representatives believe. Let them know your view, fight for our rights now and stop this horrible bill from going through, if passed it would be devastating to the United States of American citizens. I am attaching a few links to go to. The first is a petition to sign to let congress understand how we feel about this, it claims you are against this bill and do not support illegal immigrants gaining our freedoms. The second is a list of politicians for each state, with a phone number to contact their office about this issue. It is an easy process, and you can explain your viewpoint and that you either support your politician or do not. In my case Mike Enzi is against this bill, and I am relieved that he is fighting for our rights. Please when it is time to vote again, which is coming up soon, please vote for those politicians that are for the good of the United States citizen, it is getting harder to tell these past elections.
